I have fifteen years of experience as a teacher, ritualist, dramaturg, musician, and dancer. I have worked with individuals and groups on a variety of educational, collaborative, dialogic and creative projects. My goal in ritual is to bridge the the divide between the intellectual, artistic, and spiritual realms. I am an ordained minister of the Universal Life Church and I can legally perform marriages in many states.

I also hold a Ph.D. in American Civilization from Brown University, where my research focused on how communities define and articulate their identities: how gender, race and ethnicity affect self-perception, and how cultural practices such as rituals perform important cultural work.
